MOVIE OF THE WEEK
JIT LEAGUE HISTORY
The JIT League was founded in 1996 by 6 great football minds. Well, 5 great football minds and Bishko. OK, 4 great minds and Bishko and Huebner. OK, 3 minds and Dicko, Huebs Pubes, Doug'r. All right, it was founded by 6 poor Jaguars' employees looking for an excuse to get together, drink beer and make fun of each other. In the years since, it has evolved into so much more - 12 lower middle class guys looking for an excuse to get together, drink beer and make fun of each other.

Year 1 (1996) consisted of 6 teams playing each other 3 times each with a 15 game schedule. The top 4 teams made the playoffs and week 17 crowned a champion. The second year (1997) created the online draft with the expansion of the league to the west coast. Year 3 (1998) saw the league expand to 8 teams and the creation of divisions. Due to its overwhelming popularity, the league continued its rapid expansion with 4 new teams in 1999, the total at which it remains today. A third division was created and the schedule was set to have each team play divisional teams twice and other teams once, with the top six teams making the playoffs and a 3 team championship shootout. In 2002 (Year 7), the draft moved to Las Vegas where it remains today.

Over the years the league has seen 6 teams drop out of the league, 1 team banned, 6 new teams join and 1 team rejoin the ranks of the idiots. If the years have taught us anything, it's that success is 1 part preparation, 1 part knowledge, a dash of intimidation and 14 parts luck, and that the league consists of a combination of balls, broads, banality and beer in varying amounts. Brains are conspicously absent.

This is a synopsis of the yearly results from JIT League seasons past. It includes the records from each year a team was in the league as well as all-time winning percentages. The Champ from each year is also noted, which only shows that one need not know much about football to triumph in this league. (There does seem to be a slight inverse correlation between amount of beer drank during draft vs. championship.) Anyway, enjoy.
